Visit to Kolkata and participation at Christmas mass

On 6 January 2025, the Ambassador of Armenia to India, Vahagn Afyan, attended the Christmas Divine Liturgy and the Blessing of the Water ceremony at St. Nazareth Church in Kolkata, led by the Pastor of Armenians in India Reverend Father Tajad Tsaturyan.
Ambassador of Armenia had discussions with members of the Committee of St. Nazareth, considered the Mother Church of India and the region, Suzan Rouben and Sunil Sobti, as well as representatives of the small Armenian community.
Ambassador V. Afyan also interacted with the students and teacher staff of the Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy at the Armenian Club in Kolkata, presenting symbolic gifts on the occasion of the Feast of Theophany.
